Full Stack Developer

A major financial services company is currently looking for a Full Stack Developer to join their tea to work in agile and multi-disciplinary team.

The main focus of this role will be providing front-end and back-end design and development expertise in the delivery of Digital solutions. The ideal candidate will be someone with extensive experience with React, Node and Java; able to ensure that any code meets coding standards (code reviews, unit testing etc).  Finally they will be a strong team player who displays a can-do attitude, with solid experience collaborating in multidisciplinary agile teams.

The role will be based in Farnborough and the candidate has to be able to work on site 5 days per week.


Essential skills:

  • Extensive experience of React development
  • Experience with BootStrap, SaSS, npm, TypeScript, Node.js (v10)
  • Experience in libraries like Redux, Saga, Router, Reselect, Axios and Formik
  • Extensive experience of Java 8
  • Experience with Java components and frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
  • Detailed knowledge of the use of Web services (SOAP & REST)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (TDD, BDD, SCRUM, Kanban, etc)
  • Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Pivotal Cloud Factory)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (GitHub, GitFlow, Jenkins, Gradle)
  • Experience with unit testing (Jest)
  • Experience with relational database (Oracle, MySQL)  and distributed database (HBase/Hadoop)
